Approx 5 yrs ago I had an ablation for heavy bleeding and cramping. After that procedure, my periods became more regular than ever. During that procedure that also discovered that I had adenomyosis. Since I became regular and my periods were not very heavy I was ok with the result of the procedure. Now 5 years later I am starting to have problems again with continuous bleeding, spotting and cramping. I also have a small cyst on my left ovary. My Dr. will probably do a hysterectomy. I am ok with this since I am now 47 yrs old and do not want anymore children. Also in my past history I had an ectopic pregancy and lost 1 of my tubes and had a c-section with my 1 child. Also, at the age of 20 I had a cyst removed from one of my ovaries. I am not sure when they do the hysterectmy if I still want my ovaries and cervex or just let them remove everything. What is the best way t go?
