Hi Jenn My Uterus is the size of a 20wk pregnancy I have 18 Fibroids. I went to get a MRI to see if I qualify for UFE and I was told that I did,but I was a little skepticle because from the research I did. it states that if the uterus is 10wks or above the navel u dont qualify for ufe..I brought this back to the ufe specialist and she insisted that I still could get the procedure....to make a long story short I opted not to get it because I have a diseased fallopian tube and I havent been able to find any doctor that can tell me if this procedure is safe for me she just told me she would keep me on antibiotics longer but couldnt tell me how long..If I was u I would get like 2or 3 opinions before I get the procedure and do your own research....Im all out of options so I will be getting a hysterectomy 7/24 because they fibriods can only grow so big once they outgrow they blood supply they start to shed and shrink but at the same time they are causing me to have bacteria infections ...u may qualify for the Focused Ultrasound Surgey have u looked into that? they told me I was too big for that one too trust me I've tried everything I just wish I could have done something at least 2yrs ago...good luck to u

From article
Has anyone had this procedure to remove multiple fibroids? Mine are the size of an 18 week pregnancy, and I'm scared they will not be able to get rid of them with this procedure. I do NOT want a hysterectomy. I'm only 37!
